India’s first unmanned flight to moon was launched successfully! The shuttle carrying Chandrayaan-1 was triggered off on 22nd Oct 2008, from Sriharikota. Here goes some facts behind India’s moon mission.
- Chandrayaan-1: India’s first, but world’s 68th mission to moon. Both U.S and U.S.S.R have sent 62 missions to moon so far.
- Following U.S, U.S.S.R, Japan, European Union and China, India is the 6th county to send the flight to moon.
- The moon mission project was proposed in 1999.
- R.s 3.86 billion (or 386 crore Indian Rupee) was spent for the project.
- Chandrayaan-1 is expected to reach the moon’s orbit in 15 days from the date of launch.
- India has proven its super power in space research once again. Barack Obama has commented that he was excited and he had to revitalize the U.S Space program to meet the competition (source: NDTV) .

ya! its a proud time for INDIA . but INDIA can do something different !!! like it can clean up the space debris ! viz, it can equip a device in which a camera will be there a dump box & as usual payload the payload will be stuffed by plastic (some extent of plastic will be reduced on earth) (cameras will tell us about the debris(quantity, quality,etc.)) the dump box with the help of a robot like instrument will collect some debris(by magnetism or anything ) &then leave it on another planet or take it far away from the solar system!!!! we can make many rockets like this & send them from different directions . we can call other nations & people to contribute . we can make a science fiction on it & explain the people!!!!!!!!!
